In game eight, the Bulldogs played at Bedford on a
very cold night. Cowher scored all 14 points in the
game. The first score was on an 18-play, 56-yard
drive in the second quarter, and the second was a
29-yard drive late in the third quarter. Bedford did
not get a first down until late in the third quarter.

Greenfield-Kimmel (Claysburg) started football in 1933 and in its 30th year of competition had its first undefeated season when they won the last game of the 1962 season 15-13 over Bellwood. The closest any other previous Claysburg team came to an undefeated season was in 1941 when they were 8-1.
