Vicki Corle is a 1983 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School who
was a three-sport athlete in high school and a two-sport athlete in college.

At Chestnut Ridge, Corle helped the girls’ basketball team to
three Bedford County League titles and two District 5 titles in 1980-81 and 1982-83.

She was the named to the Bedford County League All-Star Team
as second-team member in her sophomore year, while she was on the first team her junior and senior years.

Her senior year, she was named the team’s MVP as she led the
team in scoring and rebounding.

In volleyball, she was a two-year letterwinner and helped the Lady Lions won the BCL title in 1983.

She was a four-year letterwinner in softball, earning first-team BCL honors her sophomore, junior, and senior years. She helped the team to the BCL title her junior year, while they were the runners-up in her sophomore and senior years.

She attended Washington and Jefferson College on a Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Scholarship and still played two sports.

She was a three-year starter in volleyball, where she was named to the all-conference team. She was second-team all-conference as a sophomore and was on the first team as a senior.

Corle was also a left fielder and pitcher for the softball teams, where she was a three-year starter.

She earned the W & J College Outstanding Female Athlete award in the 1986-87 school year.

Corle married Ed Sasek after graduating, but she continued to play on women’s slow-pitch teams around the Norristown area. She was on six teams that won ASA state titles and received numerous individual awards.

While doing all of this, she achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in her 27 years of military service. She
was in the Army Reserve 364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command prior to retirement in April of 2015.

She is now in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) where she is the External Support Branch Director in Region 3 (Delaware, D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia).

Her children have her athletic prowess as well. Trevor received a football scholarship to attend the University of Delaware, while Alexandia was four-year letterwinner at soccer and softball in Spring-Ford High School.
