Wendy (Clark) Evans graduated from Everett Area High School in 1991, where she lettered in tennis, basketball, and soccer, but she was most decorated in track and field, where she competed in the 100, 200, 4x100 relay, 4x400 relay, both hurdle events, and all three jumps. 
During her four years on the Everett track team, she had five career District V first-place finishes and set six Everett Track and Field school records. Two of those school records still stand today with the 4x400 relay and the triple jump, which was a leap of 37'5 3/4". 
Her senior year she was a third-place medalist in both the triple jump and 4x400 relay at the Pennsylvania PIAA State Track and Field Championships.
After graduating from Everett, Wendy continued her track and field career at Shippensburg University, where she set the school record in the triple jump her freshman year with a jump of 38'6".  She improved that school record her sophomore year with a jump of 39'10 1/4".
During her career at Shippensburg, she was a three-time PSAC Conference champion, a seven-time PSAC Conference placewinner, a two-time ECAC Indoor Conference champion, an 8-time ECAC Conference placewinner, and placed 10th at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Nationals. She has the fifth all-time best triple jump (39'10 1/4") and seventh all-time best high jump (5'6") in Shippensburg University Track and Field History. 
Wendy graduated from Shippensburg University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and married her Shippensburg Track and Field teammate, Curt Evans, who still holds the Shippensburg University school record in the pole vault.  They have 3 sons, Cameron (married to Emma), Spencer, and Drew, who are all pilots and work in the aviation industry.  Wendy and Curt also recently welcomed their first granddaughter, Piper.  They currently reside in Mooresville, North Carolina.      
Wendy is also a member of the 1990 Everett Women's Track and Field Team that was recently inducted into the Bedford County Sports Hall of Fame.
